According to the recent update, the Nigerian military repelled Boko Haram attack on Gombe, Gombe State.
The news broke February 14, yesterday, that gunfire and explosions were heard in the state’s capital as the insurgents invaded the town. The soldiers were indulged in a heavy battle with the militants.
The troops finally managed to drive the terrorists away, which was officially confirmed by the Defence Headquarters.

The attack comes two weeks after an explosive was detonated outside the Gombe stadium, where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential rally was held.
